Let's Talk Tin Cans

The Positive Really Does Outweigh The Negative

Not Posted for Several Days…

Any blogs or TikTok videos… even cancelled my Thursday 80s hour show on CPR FM, this week due to the second round of Chemotherapy, this time, maybe one of the lowest points of the journey so far, sort of a negative approach in a way, but this time I’m finding similar issue as the first chemo session, but now I have a much more insignt of the side effects, it’s like they say until you experience somethings, no one really knows what your going through, when they say, ‘I know what you’re going through,’ they clearly don’t; every journey isn’t the same, though you may have some insight, i.e., you’ve gone through Chemotherapy yourself.

Although more mentally challenging, keeping a positive vibe is a difficult one to quantify this week. I’ve not lost the positive side of my journey in any way!

I’m finding it hard to maintain that focus; I wasn’t going to share this, but I’ve always wanted to be truthful on my journey to recovery. Otherwise, if you’re reading this and going through something similar, this might help when the going gets tough. Let’s face it, this is why I set up this blogging website in the first place: to keep it real.

Bugging Me For The Past Month Or So…

Keep fair-weathered people away from your mindset; it’s an absolute energy drain and unhealthy approach for you to maintain. Remember, they don’t care, so don’t waste your energy thinking about it. Smile, and move on!

Fair Weathered Country Lane Theory…

It’s like going down that narrow country lane where the oncoming driver thinks they have the right of way, because they have the larger vehicle, and that all of two seconds is really going to make a difference to their day. Still, they waste more time and energy giving you the bird while passing by at a stupid speed, trying to intimidate you.

Keep on the larger roads of life; you still have the idiots, that’s a given, but you’ll have more room along the way. Soapbox now put away…

Great Friends…

Toni, San’s friend and mind, paid a visit during the week, and we all had a great catch-up. And, yes, another lunchtime at one of the National Trust properties. It is always great when people visit, as it makes you feel good and helps maintain your mental health.

If you can’t visit your friends or family and you know they’re going through tough times, give them a call, not just a text, a WhatsApp message, or a Facebook like – though that is good too; I’m not knocking that. You’ll be surprised at how much a voice on the other side of the call really helps, and knowing you’re contributing to someone’s well-being is a great feeling.

Well, back on the Radio…

On Sunday morning, 10 am sharp, for another two hours of positive powerhouse of tunes and fun facts about the 80s. Will there be cake for Brian this week? You’ll have to tune in to find out.

Lastly, thanks to San…

A few words of encouragement to help me get back to a more positive vibe.
