Summer Walks

Summer Walks…

Well, what a weekend it’s been!

Chemotherapy, the Beast of all Beasts, I must say. I’ve been feeling very poorly this weekend, with many symptoms that I can only describe as unpleasant. Starting with continuous pain in very random places all over my body, anything from heartburn, dry throat and tongue, regardless of how much water I drink, it’s relentless.

Although still upbeat, I’m experiencing considerable pain, though we are looking forward to my good friend’s upcoming Wedding on Saturday, the 16th. Additionally, a bonus: my son and daughter are visiting on Tuesday, which is always a special treat. We’re also looking forward to welcoming 1st grandchild in November.

I hosted my remote Radio show on Sunday at 10 am for CPR FM 95.1 – 100.2 FM. Last weekend, I was fine, but I did struggle this weekend, and after the broadcast finished, I ended up crashing on the sofa for a few hours.

San was on an early finish, so we popped over to Bodiam Castle to get some air and watch the world go by. Loads of Dog walkers love seeing those waggy tails and the way dogs make you smile.

A cute little boy and girl walked past our bench hand in hand, bless them, just enjoying the sunshine with a nice breeze without a care in the world, only to hear which I guess was their mother shouting at them, which kinda killed the general atmosphere, it was more funny as the little boy flipped off there mother in a way only a child can get away with, ha how we smiled.

The main lawn in front of us, where they had some great activities for the younger ones, featured a theme based on How to Train Your Dragon’. The National Trust goes out of its way to create a place where children can use their imagination, which is always great to see.

San made a great Chicken risotto, while Phresh Phil’s SDL show on CPR FM wanted to try out the new Rode to Rode audio desk tech “CallMe.” We spoke about my Prostate Cancer journey live on air and my Sunday ’80s show. Upcoming Wednesday/Thursday at 10 am, Brian and I are hosting the 80s hour from next week onwards.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad day, except for the Beast above.
